The Second Amendment ensures the right of citizens to arm themselves for their own protection and for the protection of others. Tell that to Jeremy Webster of Colorado:

DENVER — A 12-year-old boy told police he saw a driver open fire on his family during a road rage confrontation in Colorado, killing his older brother and critically wounding his mother and younger brother, authorities said Friday. Police arrested Jeremy Webster, 23, hours after the shooting that killed a 13-year-old boy and also wounded a bystander not related to the family.

Apparently that did not turn out well for Jeremy. Fortunately for him, or maybe not, he had no past criminal record, so he was allowed to possess a firearm. Knowing he had “mental issues” and was on “new medication,” he failed to relinquish his right to carry. I’ve been told by others that people can obtain insurance coverage to protect themselves in case their use of a firearm causes harm. I’m guessing instances such as this are addressed by exclusion clauses somewhere down in the fine print. Tell that to Meghan Bigelow, who is now hospitalized in critical condition, her oldest son dead and another wounded. I am sure Meghan would rather not sue if she could only get her son back.

It’s what we are willing to pay for the right to  “protect ourselves.”

What is important is for you to have the right to protect your family. So far, so good:

The triple homicide that stemmed from the Tuesday night shooting on Quinlan Court has been ruled a murder-suicide, Springfield Police Chief Lee Graf said Wednesday:

  • Eric Sirons shot his wife, Jennifer, and stepdaughter Andrea Heiser before shooting himself
  • A handgun used in the killings was found in the home
  • The couple was going through a divorce

If Mr. Sirons left a note thanking Wayne LaPierre, nobody has been able to find it.

This is a continuing investigation.

Do not allow liberal politicians to revoke your God-given rights and leave you defenseless. Thoughts and prayers and all that stuff.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A 7 year old girl is recovering from a gunshot wound after her younger brother accidentally shot her early Wednesday morning.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department says the preliminary investigation indicates an adult was visiting the family’s home in the 2400 block of W. Alta just outside the southwest Springfield city limits, and unknowingly dropped a small handgun.

The 6 year old boy found the gun and shot his sister while playing with it.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Forget about counseling, arbitration, reconciliation. The Second Amendment means you can dispense with the formalities and get straight to some personal justice:

ELLIS COUNTY — The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office has a 16-year-old student in custody after a school shooting Monday morning that left a 15-year-old injured.

Just before 8 a.m., an active shooter was reported at Italy High School in Italy, Texas.

A 16-year-old male student was taken into custody without incident after shooting a 15-year-old female student in the cafeteria with a semi-automatic handgun, Sheriff Charles Edge said.

I’m starting to feel better already.

Take comfort in the Bible. Take comfort in the Second Amendment. Apparently not both:

Police: Lincoln man shot neighbor following argument over the Bible

Updated

A Lincoln man remained in jail Monday after police say he shot his neighbor twice following an argument over the Bible Friday night.

Jimmy Livingston, 60, shot 30-year-old Andrew Pickering in the shoulder and hip in the incident at an apartment building at 741 Sumner Street, according to an affidavit for Livingston’s arrest.

I really miss that part in Isaiah 2:4 about beating swords into plowshares.

When it comes to protecting yourself and your property, the Second Amendment is your right to arm yourself. What could possibly go wrong?

BONNEY LAKE, Wash. — A woman has died after being hit by a stray bullet in what appears to be a tragic accident. Deputies said she was shot in the head when a man was running down the street firing at someone who was stealing his car.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, witnesses called 911 shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday to report hearing ten gunshots in the Prairie Ridge Area.

This citizen has the National Rifle Association to thank for (almost) keeping his property safe.

Pesky house guests? Don’t call the ACLU. They don’t give a damn about your personal liberty. When guests won’t leave it’s the National Rifle Association and the Second Amendment you can rely on:

A Florida woman opened fire on her house guests because they were “too loud” and had overstayed their welcome, police say.

Alana Annette Savell, 32, was hosting a couple at her Panama City home when the visitors apparently became noisy.

Police say she ordered them to go, before shooting the man and woman in the legs. The victims went to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Take that, all you bleeding-heart liberals. Where were you when I asked these people to leave?

Because of the National Rifle Association and its defense of the right of all Americans to carry firearms, this is the safest country in the world—with a few exceptions:

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Attorneys completed closing arguments in the murder trial of Shawn Smith, 26, on Tuesday.  Smith is one of three men accused in the shooting death of a 13-month-old Elijah Johnson back in January 2016.

Smith took the stand in his own defense Tuesday.  He testified that he was in fear for his life in what police describe as a drive-by style shooting.

According to police reports, the shooting was sparked after Isaiah Smith robbed the defendant and Dontay King earlier that day.  The prosecution argued that S. Smith and King were enraged over the robbery and went on a manhunt for Isaiah that night and opened fire while he [Isaiah] was holding the toddler.

I mean, man, the police aren’t going to  be there when somebody takes your stuff. It’s up to you and your trusty handgun to take matters in hand and defend your rights. Too bad about the baby. Maybe next time.

The National Rifle Association works tirelessly to defend the Second Amendment’s guarantee that all citizens have the right to carry firearms to protect themselves. Because of this, the United States is the safest of the industrialized countries—with a few minor exceptions:

Two 3-year-old boys were wounded Friday evening in an accidental shooting outside of a Chuck E. Cheese’s restaurant in southwest Fort Worth, police said.

The children were taken to Cook Children’s hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident happened about 5:50 p.m. in the parking lot of the Chuck-E-Cheese’s at Southwest Loop 820 and International Plaza in the Overton Park Plaza shopping center.

Sgt. Marc Povero, a police spokesman, said the children left the restaurant ahead of their parents and went to the family vehicle, where they found a .380-caliber pistol. As one of the children was playing with the weapon, it discharged, injuring the child in the hand and striking the other child in the back.

Any earnest defender of the Second Amendment will tell you this is a small price to pay to protect us from foreign terrorists coming across our borders in droves.

Liberal politicians don’t care about your liberties. Only the National Rifle Association, in its relentless defense of the Second Amendment, is there for you when pesky children disrupt your peaceful existence:

Frustrated by young children playing in his Goose Creek-area neighborhood, a man shot their grandparents and fired at two others, including a 1-year-old girl, investigators said Tuesday.

George Ernest Merritt, 64, of Gator Drive, faces four counts of attempted murder and possession of a firearm in the gunfire Monday afternoon, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office said. The grandparents are expected to survive their wounds.

The Second Amendment is there to ensure you have the right to protect yourself. Keep it loaded, and don’t leave home without it.

Nobody is going to keep you and your family safe if you don’t take steps of your own. The National Rifle Association, in its campaign to protect the Second Amendment, works tirelessly to ensure you have the right to keep your family safe. How is that working out?

According to police reports obtained by KJRH, investigators believe that 44-year-old James Delbert Tygart and 42-year-old Janie Marie Tygart got into an argument on Saturday inside their Bartlesville home.

When Janie Tygart attempted to leave the house, authorities allege that James Tygart grabbed a gun and shot her. At that point, he reportedly turned the gun on himself.

Authorities say a 15-year-old boy was in the home at the time of the shooting.

Don’t let liberals take your guns away. The next victim could be you.

The ACLU is not going to protect you when your manhood is threatened. In times like this you can rely on the National Rifle Association and its support for the Second Amendment to ensure you can protect your honor:

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — An ex-convict who shot two women at a Fort Wayne beauty college before turning the gun on himself was upset that one of the women would not date him, police said Tuesday.

Davion D. Brown, 24, entered Ravenscroft Beauty College on Monday evening carrying a backpack and found the woman who would not date him, Patricia Ann Hahn, 29, of Fort Wayne, in a break room and began shooting with a .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun, police spokesman Michael Joyner told a news conference.

All these bleeding heart liberals think about is taking your guns away. They never show any consideration for you when women reject you. Thank God for the National Rifle Association.

Because the Second Amendment allows American citizens to own and carry guns, America is the safest nation in the world. With minor exceptions:

PORT ARTHUR – A boy was accidentally shot by another boy Tuesday afternoon at a home in Port Arthur according to a police spokesperson.

Port Arthur Police Officers were dispatched to 3200 42nd Street, a private residence, earlier this afternoon.

If you don’t have a gun available when danger threatens your children, how are you going to keep them safe? You can never be too vigilant:

n Ohio police department chided gun owners about firearms safety after one local boy shot another while playing unsupervised.

An 8-year-old boy and 6-year-old boy were playing in a basement Thursday at a Columbus home when they found a loaded handgun, police said.

The boys were handling the weapon when it accidentally fired, shooting the older boy in the arm.

He was treated at a nearby hospital for the gunshot wound, but additional details about his condition were not released.

“PLEASE LOCK UP GUNS,” Columbus police said on their verified Twitter account. “We’re posting this incident to raise awareness & educate the public.”

Of course, if you keep your weapon safely locked up, then how are you going to get to it when foreign terrorists come over the back fence to murder your family? The cops didn’t think about that.

Yes, you’re going to need your gun for self protection—especially if somebody thinks you’re too drunk to drive:

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – A Texas woman is recovering after she was reportedly shot in the leg Saturday night.

Shreveport Police say the shooting happened in the 2600 block of Fulton Street just after 11:00 p.m.

Police say the victim, 34-year-old Melissa Moore, was found in a convenience store parking lot in the 3700 block of Hearne Avenue.

According to police, Moore was trying to get the suspect to give her the keys to the car. Police say she thought the suspect was too drunk to drive.

A handgun comes in handy when you are too drunk to protect yourself from meddling family members. You can be too drunk to drive, but you’re never too drunk to shoot. Keep ’em loaded, partner.

These days it’s up to private citizens to keep themselves and their families safe from terrorists and an ever-present criminal element. People increasingly rely on the 2nd Amendment for the right to arm themselves. It is impressive how well this is working out:

CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) – Clarksville police said a 3-year-old boy has died after being shot in the face.

Police said the shooting happened Friday evening in the 500 block of Samantha Lane.

The child had been shot in the face with a handgun. The 911 call said the boy had found the gun and shot himself in the mouth.

The victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital, where he later died.

The .40 caliber handgun was owned by a resident of the home.

Remember, the handgun is your friend. Keep it handy.

It’s time for patriots to take a stand for freedom:

SALINA – Law enforcement authorities in Saline County have closed an investigation into a Sunday morning shooting death.

An investigation has determined the shooting was accidental, according to Salina Police Captain Chris Trocheck.

Just after 6:30 a.m., Bryant Sanchez, 28, was showing a .40 caliber handgun he had recently acquired other individuals in the driveway of a home in the 1900 block of Dover Drive in Salina.

The gun discharged and struck Sanchez in the head. He was transported to Salina Regional Health Center where he died.

We must never underestimate the cost of protecting our freedoms.
