Houston, we have a problem.

Number 7 of a series

My, how times have changed. That was candidate Cruz two years ago. Now he is up for re-election to the United States Senate, representing the state of Texas. And guess what has happened since Senator Cruz last intoned those immortal words.

Ouch! Who could have imagined such popularity for a government mandate that insurance companies write blanket policies for all citizens, policies that would cover pre-existing conditions at no extra cost? Apparently not candidate Cruz model 2016.

Does Senator Cruz now see the writing on the wall? Does the bear…? Well, you know what the bear does.

Of course Senate candidate Cruz is saying that he still wants to repeal Obamacare, but he wants to retain the feature that guarantees coverage for pre-existing conditions.

Hello! Dude, that is Obamacare. Without mandated coverage for all you are not going to get insurance companies to write policies at an affordable price to cover pre-existing conditions. You are not going to get this kind of coverage without Obamacare.

And you want to continue to represent my state in the United States Senate? How about starting to get your head straight first.
