Four Weeks In

Number 12 of a series

Holy moly! There’s more here than I can keep up with. So many lies, so little time. I’m posting one each day, and I still have 68 to go. Daniel Dale with the Washington bureau of The Star compiled the list. I’m posting them in chronological order. Here’s number 12:

12. Jan. 25, 2017 — Interview with ABC’s David Muir

The claim: Muir: “I called the author of the Pew report last night. And he told me that they found no evidence of voter fraud.” Trump: “Really? Then why did he write the report?” Muir: “He said no evidence of voter fraud.” Trump: “Excuse me, then why did he write the report? According to Pew report, then he’s — then he’s [groveling] again.”

In fact: [Groveling] means “to draw back or crouch down in fearful submission.” Becker is doing the opposite: publicly explaining his work, and explaining why the president is wrong.

[Correcting the spelling of groveling]

Any difference between Donald Trump and a pathological liar is increasingly hard to distinguish. Here is a guy who invents lies in the face of obvious facts.

This is 12 so far and 68 to go. 25 January apparently was a big day for Trump. His interview with David Muir proved to be a treasure trove of prevarication. The man needs help.

Keep reading And may Jesus have mercy on our souls.
