The Golden Shower

Something interesting

politics-trumpgaveupsomuch

To clarify: the sign reads:

Trump the man who gave up his billionaire lifestyle to be humiliated, ridiculed and slandered to save the American people

Yes, I think I got that right.

If only.

If only Donald Trump had given up that lifestyle. The ridicule and humiliation he gets, whether president or not. I see to that.

Fortunately, now that Donald Trump is in the cat seat, he is in a position to protect that lifestyle. It’s good to see he’s making use of that position. ABC World News Tonight with David Muir yesterday discussed the matter of President Donald Trump taking on retailer Nordstrom because that company is dropping Ivanka Trump’s line of pricey fashion items:

For the first time since Donald Trump was elected Snowflake-in-Chief, he may actually be onto something. His daughter, Ivanka, is truly an asset to his administration and possibly to the country. So, why is Nordstrom dropping her fashion line? For that matter, what can account for others, including Neiman-Marcus, Home Shopping Network, Belk and ShopStyle, dropping all matter of the Trump brand, including Ivanka’s? While you’re at it, now include T. J. Maxx and Marshalls.

Ha! The joke’s on these nasty merchandisers. When you’re the President of the United States you have the last word. President Trump tweeted out in response:

My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by . She is a great person — always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!

Wait! Did I mention that Donald Trump is now President of the United States? Maybe I did, but being President has an additional advantage. Not only does President Donald Trump have the advantage of having his voice heard, he also has the advantage of having his voice heard at taxpayers’ expense. He retweeted the same message on an account owned by and paid for by the American  public.

Ha! That is sweet.

No, wait! There’s more. We now have a United States Government employee, not an elected official but just somebody employed and paid out of the public coffers, whose job appears to be to defend Mr. Trump’s private business interests at the detriment of other people’s business interests. We now have a paid government employee set loose to attack an American commercial enterprise. Isn’t the age of the Golden Shower a wonder to behold.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer tells the American public that Nordstrom is directly attacking Donald Trump

People, we got the government we paid for. You want to do business in the U.S. of A.? Then you’re going to have to toe the line. Buy Trump. That’s the road to success in the age of the Golden Shower.

There will be more to come. Keep reading.

And may Jesus have mercy on our souls.
