Fortunately, I do not have to make very much of this stuff up. I have others who do it for me. For example, there is the Trump administration advisor Anthony Scaramucci:
CNN) — Anthony Scaramucci, a member of Donald Trump’s Presidential Transition Team Executive Committee, said the scientific community gets a lot of things wrong during a conversation about climate change.“I know that the current president believes that human beings are affecting the climate,” he told CNN’s Chris Cuomo Wednesday on “New Day.” “There are scientists that believe that that’s not happening.”“There was overwhelming science that the earth was flat and there was an overwhelming science that we were the center of the world,” Scaramucci added. “We get a lot of things wrong in the scientific community.”
For the record, there was never any science that the Earth was flat. From the first investigations of the flatness or roundness of the Earth, it was concluded the Earth is round. Eratosthenes made an attempt at calculating the diameter of the Earth over 2000 years ago. The first scientific investigations regarding the place of the Earth in the cosmos concluded the Earth revolves around the sun and is not, therefore, the center of the Universe.
I apologize, but I seem to have left out the funniest part of all:
I’m saying people have gotten things wrong throughout the 5,500-year history of our planet.
You ask why am I laughing? Because I’m too old to cry.
