In America our safety is guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment, which ensures the right of citizens to arm themselves for their own protection. It’s a work in progress:
While the investigation into the death continues, officials Sunday identified the young boy who was shot and killed in a Belgrade home on Thursday morning.
Greydun Flinn Stockinger, 9, of Belgrade, died after sustaining a gunshot wound from a semi-automatic handgun at a home in the 1000 block of Cardinal Drive in Belgrade at about 10 a.m. Thursday.
Stockinger did not live in the home where the shooting occurred, Belgrade police said. There was at least one other boy in the home at the time of the shooting, but no adults were present, police said.
People who want to disarm citizens in defiance of the 2nd Amendment need to consider what might have happened if these children had been left alone and without the means to defend themselves.
